ALANA WILSON CERAMICS - SYDNEY 28 FEB & 9 MARCH 2019
Alana Wilson is a ceramicist like no other.
In 2019 The School will collaborate with local Sydney based ceramicist Alana Wilson on a two-part ceramics class.
Alana creates the most breathtaking pieces, ceramics that look as though they have surfaced from the underworlds of ancient civilisations. She makes ceramics that embody sculpture, as well as some that are functional.
Alana’s glazes are other-wordly and although her techniques are inspired and innovative, they are teachable and in this Class you will have an exclusive opportunity to share in her practice.
For this Class, we will spread Alana's expertise over 2 weeks. The first week will see you designing and hand building your vessel or sculpture, and the second class will see you glaze your vessel as you complete your work of art.
"I'm really looking forward to working together and chatting as we create and share what I love most" Alana Wilson.
Note: The class will focus on hand building vessels or sculptures, there's no throwing.
